Engagement Session - Ours
It was just a normal Sunday. We went to my parents’ house from church like we usually did on a Sunday. One of my sisters, Lauren, was in the Ukraine on a mission trip at the time and she randomly called me to video chat (this was setup by Aaron of course). After a few minutes of chatting with her, I noticed everyone had left the living room. It was then that Lauren told me to go outside.
I walked out to find a long string of twine with pictures of the two of us clipped along it and love notes written on the back of them. At this point my youngest sister, Mel, took the phone from me and followed me with Lauren still on the video chat so she could witness it too. My other sister, Katie, had my camera (also arranged by Aaron) and was taking all of the pictures you’ll see below.
I walked along the string unclipping the love notes and reading them as I got closer and closer to Aaron waiting for me at the end. When I reached him he got on one knee (not pictured, oops). My breath caught and all I could think was “this is really happening. “ I honestly don’t remember anything that was said, I just remember there wasn’t a dry eye.
