Elopement - Alex & Journey
Alex and Journey knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding and went for it. To incorporate their love for hiking together, they set a date to elope at the Munising Courthouse, and reached out to me to photograph this special time, on the evening before their elopement. We met up on a windy and rainy day, in September, at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. We explored this breathtaking park for an hour and braved the icy raindrops and got to watch a wall of heavy rain approach from Miners Castle Rock. The heavy wind made for an adrenaline boosting time, and affected the stability of the gifs I took (see below). The weather was hardly a deterrent though; if anything, it brought our excitement out even more. Once the cold, icy rain had soaked through to our bones, and the raindrops had taken over my camera lens, we called it a day and parted ways. What an honor to capture such a beautiful experience for these two lovely people.
